Camping Regulations

The Faroe Islands offer stunning natural landscapes that invite exploration — but it’s important to camp responsibly.

Camping is only allowed at designated campsites unless you have received explicit permission from the landowner. Wild camping on private property or protected land without consent is not permitted and can harm the environment or disturb local farming activities.

Designated campsites are equipped with essential facilities and are the safest, most respectful way to enjoy an overnight stay in nature. These sites also help protect the fragile landscape and ensure access for future visitors.

Currently, there are two official campsites in the Northern Isles:
