Exciting Book Launch and Exhibition at Varpið during Norðoyastevna
Paulina Eliasen is set to release her new book, “Embroidery for the Faroese National Costume 3”. The book features 10 new vest patterns inspired by flowers from the Stóraryggi hillside in Syðradalur. Three of the vests are showcased in two different styles.
In conjunction with the book launch, an intriguing exhibition will be held at Varpið, displaying 13 unique vest pieces and matching hosubond (leg bands).
Join us for the book launch event on May 30th at 7:30 PM, where Paulina will share insights into the art of embroidery and the fascinating process behind her book. Johanna Christiansen, Chairwoman of the Cultural Committee, and Johanna á Tjaldrafløtti, Director of the Household School, will also speak. The Klaksvík Men’s Choir will perform several songs. Refreshments will be served.

In addition to the book launch on Thursday, May 30th at 7:30 PM, the exhibition will be open on the following days:
- Friday, May 31st: 3 PM – 6 PM
- Saturday, June 1st: 3 PM – 6 PM
- Sunday, June 2nd: 3 PM – 6 PM
