KLAKSVÍK SNARATHLON

In connection with the Heyst event in Klaksvík, a triathlon challenge will be organized on Saturday morning, September 28th.
The challenge is open to all interested, both experienced and inexperienced. The age limit is 11 years.
Since the course is not long, this is a great opportunity for new athletes to try triathlon.

Challenge Description

Participants will compete in an open category for both men and women. Everyone will complete the same course, which consists of 200 meters of swimming, 5 kilometers of cycling, and 2 kilometers of running.

• 9:30 AM: Registration
• 10:00 AM: Information meeting
• 10:20 AM: Warm-up
• 11:00 AM: Start

Registration

Registration for the challenge takes place at atgongumerki.fo, and participation is free.
The deadline to register is Friday, September 27th, at 12:00 PM.

Registration and Information Meeting

Registration and the information meeting will be held at Klaksvík Swimming Hall.

Swimming

The swimming will take place in Klaksvík Swimming Hall, and the distance will be 200 meters, which is 8 lengths of the pool.

Cycling

The total cycling route is approximately 5 kilometers. The route will start at Guttabreyt and then go 3 times around Eið.

Running

The total running distance is 2 kilometers, which means running 5 times around the running track.

Transition Area

All transitions will take place outside the swimming hall. Each participant must have a box, tub, or similar to store their clothes and equipment.

Safety

Helpers will be present on the swimming route and on the road during the cycling portion.
