Perched on the northern tip of Kalsoy, the Kallur Lighthouse stands proudly against a backdrop of towering coastal cliffs, offering one of the most iconic views in the Faroe Islands. This breathtaking landscape has become a must-see for visitors, with the hike to the lighthouse being one of the most popular outdoor adventures in the archipelago.
To reach the trailhead, take a scenic 17-km drive through four tunnels from the ferry terminal in Syðradalur to the village of Trøllanes in the north. Due to narrow roads and limited parking, we recommend taking the bus for a stress-free journey. The hike from Trøllanes is moderately easy, with stunning views along the way. The round trip usually takes between one and a half to two hours, offering plenty of time to soak in the beauty of the surroundings. Whether you’re an avid hiker or a casual explorer, this unforgettable trek is well worth the effort!
