Norðoya Sparikassi Halfmarathon

Again in 2025, Treysti will organize the Faroese Championship (FM) in Half Marathon in Klaksvík.
Treysti has a main sponsor, Norðoya Sparikassi, and therefore, the event will be named: Norðoya Sparikassi Half Marathon Klaksvík 2025.

The FM Half Marathon, Norðoya Sparikassi Half Marathon, and Norðoya Sparikassi Charity Run will take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, on the streets of Klaksvík. The start and finish lines will be outside the main branch of Norðoya Sparikassi, and everyone is welcome to walk or run.

Treysti is organizing the Norðoya Sparikassi Half Marathon in Klaksvík this year, which will also serve as the FM Half Marathon.
This will be a so-called city half marathon, as the route will be entirely within the city, on a 5.3 km circuit.

In addition to the half marathon, there will also be a 5 km charity run.

Registration

Register at www.fif.fo (the deadline for ONLINE registration is 10:00 PM on Friday, May 2, 2025).

Please note: No on-site registration for the half marathon.

For the 5 km charity run, registration is possible at Norðoya Sparikassi no later than 1:00 PM on race day.

The start and finish lines will be located near the main branch of Norðoya Sparikassi and Betesda. The half marathon course consists of four laps running north to Stangaskákið (Victor á Lakjuni) and out to Bumshamar (Torvgøta) before turning back.

The charity run consists of one lap of this route.

The event will be a DAF-certified half-marathon course.

Participation Requirements

• To participate in the half marathon, runners must be born in 2008 or earlier.
• To compete in the FM (Faroese Championship), participants must be a member of a club under FÍF (Faroese Athletics Federation).

This event is both the official FM Half Marathon and an open competition where anyone can participate.

Start: Outside Norðoya Sparikassi at 2:00 PM.

In the FM Half Marathon, participants will compete in the following categories:

• Men & Women Open Category (born 2008 or earlier)
• Men & Women Veterans (born 1970–1979)
• Men & Women Super Veterans (born 1960–1969)
• Men & Women Ultra Veterans (born 1959 or earlier)

In the Norðoya Sparikassi Half Marathon Klaksvík 2025, participants will compete in the same categories:

• Men & Women Open Category (born 2008 or earlier)
• Men & Women Veterans (born 1970–1979)
• Men & Women Super Veterans (born 1960–1969)
• Men & Women Ultra Veterans (born 1959 or earlier)

Participation Fees

• Norðoya Sparikassi Half Marathon Klaksvík 2025: DKK 295,-
• Charity Run (5 km): DKK 100,-

Medals & Awards

• All finishers of the Norðoya Sparikassi Half Marathon Klaksvík 2025 will receive a special finisher’s medal.
• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in all categories will receive medals, which will be awarded near the finish line as soon as results are available.
• No medals will be awarded for the 5 km charity run.

Race Number Pick-Up

Race numbers can be picked up from 12:00 PM at the Norðoya Sparikassi branch (near the start line) in Klaksvík on May 3. Pick-up must be completed before 1:30 PM.
