Family Tour in Árnafjørður

The traditional Faroese boat is designed for hands-on experiences and learning. This is especially exciting for children on board. You can sit at the stern by the rudder and steer the boat, or help control the outboard engine. At the same time, you get close to nature and can observe marine life and seabirds. If you reach out your hand, you can even touch the sea.

From Árnafjørður marina, you sail south along the coastline. There are several good fishing areas nearby. You may fish close to Bergið, or sail across the fjord towards Lisshøvdi. Once you reach the fishing grounds, the engine is turned off and you cast your line.

You may catch several species of fish, including Atlantic cod, haddock, whiting, redfish, ling, saithe, and plaice. Even if you have never tried fishing before, there is no need to worry. Sea angling is easy to learn and enjoyable for all ages.

During the tour, you sail close to the shore. Here, you can see dramatic gorges and sea grottoes. Along the way, your guide may share local stories, adding an extra layer to the experience.

Fishing together is a great way to spend time as a family. It creates lasting memories and offers a unique way to experience the Faroe Islands.
