Experience an authentic fishing and sightseeing tour in a traditional Faroese boat. This small-group tour allows for mindful exploration, with a maximum of five guests on board.
The tour begins at Árnafjørður marina. From here, you sail along the dramatic eastern coastline, known for its steep ravines and sea caves. This area is ideal for landscape photography.
As the journey continues, you pass “Bergið” and enjoy views towards the island of Svínoy. You then cross the fjord towards the iconic headland Lisshøvdi and explore the western shores of the fjord.
Throughout the tour, your guide shares local stories and insights. You will also have the chance to observe wildlife. Seabirds, including puffins, are often seen, and seals are frequently spotted in the area.
Fishing is an important part of the experience. Near Bergið and Lisshøvdi, you will cast your line in waters known for excellent fishing. Common catches include haddock, Atlantic cod, and saithe. You may also be lucky enough to catch ling, tusk, redfish, or flatfish.
You are welcome to keep your catch. Few places in the world offer fish as fresh and delicious as this.
